Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Maple Coast Courier Inc. ("Maple Coast," "we," "us," "our") website and delivery services. By booking a delivery, creating a business account, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, submitting a booking, or registering a business account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors, customers, and business account holders.

2. Our Services

Maple Coast provides courier and delivery services within Greater Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, including Same-Day Courier, Direct/Rush Delivery, Next Day Delivery, Evening & Weekend Delivery, and National Shipping across Canada via our trusted partner network. Service availability, delivery windows, and coverage areas are as described on our website and may be updated from time to time.

3. Booking & Order Acceptance

Submitting a booking through our website or portal constitutes an offer to engage our services. A booking is not confirmed until you receive a valid tracking number (format: MCC-XXXXX). We reserve the right to decline, delay, or cancel any booking at our discretion — including where package contents are prohibited, addresses are inaccessible, or information provided is incomplete or inaccurate.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted at booking — including pickup and delivery addresses, contact details, and package description — is accurate and complete. Delays or failed deliveries resulting from inaccurate information provided by you are not the responsibility of Maple Coast.

5. Prohibited Items

You agree not to ship, and we reserve the right to refuse or dispose of (in accordance with applicable law), any package containing: illegal substances or contraband; firearms, weapons, or ammunition; hazardous, flammable, or explosive materials; live animals; human remains; currency, negotiable instruments, or items of extraordinary value not disclosed at booking; or any item whose transport violates federal, provincial, or municipal law.

Important

Maple Coast is not liable for any loss, damage, seizure, or legal consequence arising from the shipment of prohibited items. You are solely responsible for ensuring your shipment complies with this section.

6. Delivery Attempts & Access

Our couriers will make a reasonable attempt to deliver to the address and recipient provided at booking. Where signature is required and no authorized recipient is available, where access is restricted (e.g. locked buildings, incorrect buzzer codes), or where the delivery address is inaccessible, we reserve the right to: leave the package in a safe location at our discretion (where signature is not required), return the package to sender, or charge an additional redelivery fee for a subsequent attempt.

7. Limitation of Liability

Please read carefully

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maple Coast Courier Inc.'s total liability for any claim arising from a booking is limited to the lesser of the actual value of the lost or damaged item or a maximum of $100 CAD per shipment, unless additional declared value coverage was purchased at time of booking. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or business interruption, arising from delayed, lost, or damaged shipments.

We strongly recommend declaring accurate value at booking for high-value shipments and purchasing additional coverage where available. Standard delivery windows (e.g. "2–4 hours") are estimates, not guarantees, and may be affected by traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

8. Loss, Damage & Claims

Any claim for a lost or damaged shipment must be submitted in writing to info@maplecoastcourier.ca within 7 calendar days of the scheduled delivery date, including the tracking number, description of the issue, and supporting documentation (e.g. photos of damage). Claims submitted after this period may not be honoured. We will investigate all timely claims in good faith and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Cancellations & Delays

Bookings may be cancelled prior to courier dispatch at no charge. Once a courier has been dispatched or has completed pickup, cancellation fees may apply. Maple Coast is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, traffic incidents, road closures, vehicle breakdowns, or acts of God.

10. Business Accounts

Business accounts are free to open and carry no monthly minimums. You are responsible for maintaining accurate account and billing information and for all activity conducted under your account credentials. Accounts may be tiered based on usage volume, which may unlock priority dispatch or other benefits at our discretion. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts with outstanding unpaid balances or in cases of suspected fraud or misuse.

11. Acceptable Use of Website

You agree not to: use our website for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, booking portal, or admin systems; interfere with the proper functioning of our website; submit false or misleading information at booking; or use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access our website without our prior written consent.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including our logo, branding, text, graphics, and design — is the property of Maple Coast Courier Inc. and protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services or business account, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, our business, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
